Frequently asked questions
Are gas installation maintenance and an audit the same thing?
No. Maintenance is carried out regularly by a gas fitter. An audit is an independent check carried out by an accredited auditor, and its result is an official document.
Does a gas cooker in an apartment need an audit?
It depends on the installation and the building — a shared gas installation in an apartment building is usually subject to an audit; for a single cooker, the project manager will ask for details.
What happens if the audit finds defects?
The defects must be fixed by a gas fitter and, if needed, a follow-up audit ordered. If a defect is dangerous, the auditor may require the installation to be taken out of use until it is repaired. The LUBA24 project manager arranges the repair and the follow-up audit as well.
