Frequently asked questions
Can an electrician carry out the audit?
No. The audit is carried out by an independent, accredited auditor. The electrician may fix defects before the audit, but cannot audit their own work.
What is the difference between a pre-commissioning audit and a periodic audit?
A pre-commissioning audit is carried out before a new or substantially altered installation is put into use. A periodic audit is carried out on an installation in use at a set interval, which depends on the type of building and installation. An extraordinary audit is carried out, for example, after an accident or at the request of the supervisory authority.
What happens if the audit finds defects?
The defects are listed in the report. They must be fixed and, if needed, a new check ordered. The LUBA24 project manager helps find an electrician and arranges the follow-up audit.
