Frequently asked questions
Does every small change need an amendment design?
Not necessarily. What matters is whether the change affects the building's compliance with requirements, its appearance or its load-bearing structures. If the design submitted with the occupancy permit application differs from the design that received the building permit, the changes must be described and justified.
Can an amendment design be made after construction?
Yes, the changes can be documented retrospectively before applying for an occupancy permit or submitting a notice of use.
